Sous Chef


Fort Collins Country Club seeks a full time Sous Chef. Qualified candidates will demonstrate a commitment to excellence, a strong knowledge of culinary technique, a well-honed sense of urgency, and keen attention to detail. The sous chef assists the Executive Chef in all aspects of kitchen management including menu development, scheduling, expediting service, production management and ordering and receiving deliveries.


• Responsible for the quality and the variety of all food being served on the shift

Enhance the overall knowledge and team spirit of the kitchen staff

• Hire, train, supervise, and/or terminate employees when needed

Carry out the sanitation needs of the kitchen, utilizing the standards set up by the Executive Chef

• Assist with ordering, stocking and controlling inventory

• Scheduling based upon business needs to ensure targeted labor numbers are met

• Work with Executive Chef on menu creation and development of systems and procedures to maintain a high quality consistent food program

Job Qualifications

• Two years of solid experience working in a chef driven ‘From Scratch” culinary environment

• Two years experience in supervisory position required and understanding the systems that drive kitchens

• Diplomatic team player able to foster relationships with members, employee partners and guests

• Possesses a passion for exceeding Member expectations and a commitment to excellence resulting in high quality member and guest service

• Culinary School Degree or strong foundational cooking skills required

Pay: $42,000 – $52,000 per year
