Erika Selberg
Youth Program Coordinator
Serving Since: 2022
Phone Number: 970.657.2630
Erika was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest before falling in love with Colorado State University and Fort Collins during her college tours in 2017. After graduating from CSU in May 2022, with a Bachelor of Science in Health and Exercise Science, she is taking the next steps forward in her career. She plans to eventually move on to pediatric physical therapy to help children regain their full quality of life post-injury, inspired by her own experiences with sports-related injuries.
Since the age of 14, Erika has worked with children in summer camps. Beginning in 2019, she began coaching gymnastics part-time before moving on in 2021 to become a teacher’s aide at Ridgeview Classical Schools here in Fort Collins. Her collective experience throughout the last 8 years led her to realize her love for working with children.
Erika is a lover of all things outdoors and, of course, her 3-year-old malamute mix, Kaiyuh. Most summer weekends and afternoons you can find her and Kaiyuh paddleboarding up at Horsetooth or camping somewhere up Poudre Canyon.
Erika hopes to build the Fort Collins Country Club youth program to be the best it can be, to give kids new experiences and chances to bond with other kids and have fun in a non-school related setting. She believes that those bonds and experiences obtained outside of school are so important for a child’s growth and learning for the future!
She is looking forward to meeting as many families as she can, so don’t hesitate to say hi to her in the Treehouse whenever you see her there!
